    Default Mini dirt bike Question

A lady I know upgraded her son?s motorcycle. She?s offering the old RX1, helmet, and spare tubes to me for $150. She?s good at taking care of her stuff and I have no reason to be concerned about being burned by her.

I think this is the bike in question:

I know near nothing about these bikes. My son is turning 5 in a few weeks, and is over 4? tall.

    first, will it fit him?
second, does anyone want to warn me away from these bikes for any reason?

for $150, if he can ride it for a while it appears reasonable.

At that price point, if you take care of it, when your kid is out grown it, you can probably sell it for what you paid.
Take your son over and see if he fits it.

Basic Chinesium. That being said, if it survived the first kid, it'll like do ok for your son until he's ready for something more advanced.

One of many Chinese bikes with a 50cc Honda knock-off power plant.

At that price though, if it fits your kid it is probably a good deal and will give him something cheap to learn on.

As already mentioned, if he doesn?t take to riding or he outgrows it not only will you likely recover the cost of your investment but you might even make a few bucks.

Majority of my grandkids learned to ride on 50cc Chinese cheapo dirt bike. All were 4-8 years old when they started. The last three were not yet 4' tall and had no issues with size/height.

The bike has stood up pretty well over the years will even drag my phat azz around the yard.

It will be fun and fast he probably needs to wait to be able to ride it is my guess. The Chinese bikes need constant tightening bolt replacement adjustments and such. But they are a blast. For the price I would do it

well shoot. I guess I was a minute too late on replying to her. I'm now second in line for the bike.
    Thanks again.

Meh. 50cc four strokes are pussycats, even by five year old kid standards.
