I checked it out. Left Gillette after decades, for the obvious reasons. Tried, Harry's, not too bad, not great, then they decided to shite on me. Thought I'd try Jeremy, but I don't need a razor, shave cream, after shave cream, tote bag, etc. I just need a razor and blades. Not an option. Well, they aimed too high right there. I avoid pissing money away to make a point.

I'm sure they'll offer additional optuons down the road without the extras.

But seriously, we need to get away from trying to pack the most blades in one razor. 6 blades? I've never liked the 6-blade razors. It's overkill. May be good to shave your dome (maybe, I don't have experience there), but 6-blades are no good for the face IMO. More is not always better.

-Edwin Jagger double edge safety razor
-A selection of double edge blades from Try-a-Blade or RazorBladesClub (you can buy one each of several different blades to find what works for you)
    -Synthetic brush from Maggard's
-Soap from Sudsy Soapery (not the most macho name, but they make great soaps)
-You're all set for way under $100. When you find the blade(s) that work best, buy them in 100 packs for $8-$16 or so.

Disposable 3 blade Schick - least blade count I can find anymore at reasonable prices that isn't genderette - and a can of Barbasol.

$10 for an 8-pack that lasts me 6 months.

I've been testing different brands since I ended my dollar shave club membership when they announced support for BLM. I made sure to tell every cop I knew too. Several cancelled their subscriptions.

I tried defender razors but their blades just don't last and don't cut very smooth on my sensitive skin.

Jeremy's razors are over priced. I just want to buy a handle and a few blades, I don't need a bag and soap and other extra crap.

What's really annoying about the whole Harry's thing is that a sizable percentage of their customer base are people (like myself) that dumped Gillette over their woke bullshit.

I think I need to look into going with an old fashioned safety razor.

    That's what I use.

I prefer German Timor blades and a badger brush. Got 100 blades many years ago and haven't purchased more since.

Thumbs up on the Edwin Jagger, bought a 100 blade box and still going strong after several years.

Didn't know about the DSC->BLM thing. Dang, guess I need to switch. Have a few months' supply, so I'll be fine for a while.

I didn't know about the DSC and BLM support either... nor about Harry's. Luckily I'm not a member of either although I do have some Harry's blades from a promotion I took advantage of back in 2018 or 2019. Haven't given them any money since and won't ever again.

In any case, I started growing a full beard in 2019 and doubled down even more in March 2020 when the pandemic ramped up, so just need a little neck and cheek cleanup every so often anyway.
