    Default Morphew charges dismissed

Evidently the judge just agreed to dismiss the charges without prejudice after a motion by the prosecution. That means charges could be filed at a later time.

I think this is the one with the massive arrest affidavit... they had PILES of evidence. The culmination of which essentially eliminated all doubt.

It should have gone before a jury to decide, but alas, juries do not determine an outcome, judges do, and this one probably thought he "was a nice guy". I've never seen a judge that would read more than about 5 pages of a pleading either, so the judge never looked into anything more than fizz on top of the surface.

I've read it, and I'm 99.8% sure he murdered her.

Some would call .2% "reasonable doubt"...

In his case, 0.2% is overly generous. If people read the arrest affidavit and all his interviews and details they'd see what I mean. 0.2% boils down to "well maybe he accidentally killed her". Did he kill her though? Yup. And 99.8% it was planned and intentional.

He wasn't being a nice guy.

He handed down sanctions for repeated procedural errors by the prosecution, culminating with excluding 12 out of 14 witnesses and other evidence.

When this happened, they decided they didn't have a strong enough case on the remaining evidence so they filed the motion.

It wasn't the judge, it was incompetence in Linda Stanley's office, not following the rules.
