I work in telecom and have dealt with lots of outages, LOTS of them. All kinds of things happen to underground and aerial cables, the numbers are staggering. Some crazy shit. This was likely an equipment issue.


We also have Verizon because it has the best coverage in rural areas of the state. It would be nice if Verizon would boost signal strength in the Grand Valley and throughout the state. And maybe it should be required for the service providers to post, text and e-mail notification of specific area outages just like Xcel Energy does.
