    Default Kids Training/Programs?

    Located in Colorado Springs.
Does anyone know of any kids programs to teach them the basics?

I've heard of Olympic Training Center doing some, but couldn't find anything about it.
I've check the NRA site, but nothing within 50miles.
Someone mentioned Steel Challenge, but couldn't find specifics.

I remember growing up and going to a NRA class that taught the three basic positions, gun safety, and lots of range time shooting .22s trying to get a five shot clover leaf.

    Thoughts?

4H shooting sports should be near you. Contact your local extension office to find a club.

Pikes peak gun club has a .22 plate match, first Saturday of the month. Kids welcome. I hear it’s up on practiscore lately. Low cost, low round count, lots of fun.

    Kids training = dad/grandpa/uncle.

See if this is a good fit for what you want to do:

YOU are the first responder. Police, fire and medical are SECOND responders.
When seconds count, the police are mere minutes away...
Gun registration is gun confiscation in slow motion.

Thanks all! I'll follow-up on these leads. I'm a Marine myself so my four kids have had a bit of training, but it's been 20yrs and thought that people who teach everyday would be a good second start.

Davis Training has been running that youth program at Cheyenne for a couple years now. Good, safe bunch of folks.

Ps. Full disclosure, every once in awhile I help with their classes.
