What Gman said. Boys have loved pretending to shoot each other since forever. Video games are just the modern version of that. An insignificant number ever bring it beyond pretend. Hell, now we have airsoft which is the most realistic to actual gun fighting we've seen yet. More so than video games. But we don't see a slew of airsofters out committing murder either.

The video this nut ball posted looked like a video game to people who saw it, but not to him. He wasn't living out a video game. The similar visuals were purely obvious to the viewer.

Give me a break, I didn't say video games caused this shooting. I said that the actual video will embolden crazy people. People who actually study these issues say that these videos are bad news and fuel new fires. I simply said that the actual video looks just like the photorealistic video games. I will say though, something is wrong if vicarious, realistic murder through video games is seen as entertainment. Gamers will likely never kill someone, but their soul is being damaged. As a dad, I need to step up and say, "not in my house".

I guess you missed my statement of "for the already mentally deranged". Yes- If they enjoy such games, normal people are able to separate fantasy from reality.
