Default Maybe I am not Texas material after all

Well; I hit up Whataburger twice this month - the first time I was up way - way too early and decided what the heck. The second one was today for a 40 min wait...ok, I can live with the wait - but dang it was not as good in Colorado as I remember it in Texas. I will say, the ice tea was about perfect.

So I guess I need to start adding pork & beans in my chili, drink warm Coors beer, and go out and by a raven 25acp as a defense weapon.

If Lucy was still around, I be in Texas - shopping at Academy sports and drinking some of the best ice cold root beer money can buy.

My best guess is that when I had beer flu II it did more than keep in in the dark for a few days. So what little of my taste buds came back about 50% of those remaining left. At least Sanpellegrino Aranciata drinks still taste perfect - good taste but one heck of a bite. That drink is sparkling orange beverage (navel orange / tangerine? ) pretty much tastes like it always does.

So let me hoist a cold one and wish everyone a happy un-birthday to you all.

    Blasphemy….

I honestly didn’t think they were special the first time. I gave them another chance, and they had me at grilled onions and no tomatoes…

whatbirger for us New Mexican was always like a cut rate place. Our local claim to fame is lotaburger, which, Kazoo, I think they have a fee in AZ now. But they’re location dependent. Some are good and some are bad. For instance our local home town lotaburger is much like the hookers in ABQ: pretty good amount for the money, buns were warm, and it gave me herpes.

I found the burgers in Texas to be good - not the best - but better than Mic'D or burger king.

The dead giveaway on taste buds is that pretty much all french fries taste burnt once again.

Today they put much way too much mustard on the burger. About 4x too much; zero taste on any of the other items, esp the jalapeno peppers.

You can also get a Jennings or a High Point, if you'd rather.

Haven't been to Whataburger since M M M M Mel Tillis was the spokesman. Decent burger then.

    In-N-Out was HoHum.

Looking forward to a local drive thru shack.. Good Chili dogs. Going to stop in for a burger soon.

In & out had / has the best bun and the burger is not too bad. The fried onions were semi-burnt while the raw onions were just fine.

Hi-point is just too high end for my non-Texas taste buds.
