If ya REALLY wanted a case of food poisoning, J. T. Garcias is/was the place. It is a Ft. Worth institution.

I prefer my food poisoning from Poncho?s. It?s kind of like Casa Bonita but without the entertainment.

If you want a great burger you have to start your own coals.

I wish Missouri had Good Times

My brother in law nearly rolled an SUV when we were visiting Oklahoma a couple years ago. He missed Whataburger and was so excited to see one that the near death experience was worth it to get it. I wasn't overly impressed with the burgher. I thought it was good, but not near-death good.

I always found them a bit dry. For chains, In-N-Out works for me, double double animal style. But growing up in OK I was spoiled by independant burger joints and bar burgers. One of the best I ever had was in a redneck dive, cooked in the back room on an electric skillet. And grilled onions are a MUST in Oklahoma!

Poncho's = quantity, not quality. Their sopapillas were probably their only redeeming quality.

I have never understood the hoopla about a hamburger or the restaurant that makes it.

It seems to be yet another thing that falls under the, "Is it popular because people like it, or do people like it because it's popular?" conundrum.

Last time I went to a What-a-Burger, the only "good" item I remember was that they still deep-fried their apple pies, not sure if that is still the case though.

Burgers seemed to be bout normal for fast food fare
