    Thanks for the reminder to grind coffee beans and fill a couple buckets so we can flush if the power goes out. Our water system depends on an electric pump. We need to get an auto backup gen set with a dedicated propane tank. Most everyone in the mountains is vulnerable due to trees falling on power lines. But I give Excel Energy credit as they've been replacing power poles everywhere with bigger, stronger poles, and probably other improvements we don't know about.

    If only the feds would bolster our national power grid with a strong redundant system backed with nuclear power.

    I agree 100%, and have we also have a electric well, but with 350 gallon cistern. We are back on right now, but it's cycled a few times. Overnight will be fun.
