Yup- It is a systematic coordinated effort. They made that clear from the beginning. Gun owners need not apply.

They had it drawn up already, just waited for preemption and the right opportunity.

Yes- The wording between the different cities is 99% the same and all directed by the Mom's Who Need Heavy Action and other gun control groups.

They are doing exactly what they said they were going to do. This is why you don't elect progressive Karens to your local government. The exact same thing is being prepped in Littleton, Thornton, Golden, ad nauseam, even if not public yet.

Maybe they will see some pushback.

As .455 says, it is the same as Boulder's proposal. See pages 2 and 3.

The proposal was written by Kathleen M. Kelly and she also represents Dacono, Haxton, Keenesburg, Kremmling and Castle Rock.

    Exact same wording-

"Assault weapons are semi-automatic firearms designed with military features to allow
rapid spray firing for the quick and efficient killing of humans."

"Assault weapons have features such as pistol grips or thumb-hole grips, a forward grip
or a barrel shroud, which allow for greater control of the weapon allowing it to be kept
pointed at a target while being fired. The pistol grip or thumb-hole grip allows for greater
control with the trigger hand. The forward grip or barrel shroud, which is a fitting on the
barrel that protects the shooter’s hand from the heated barrel allowing the shooter to
grip the barrel, both allow for better control with the non-trigger hand. The combination
of high-capacity magazines and better control can make semi-automatic assault
weapons as lethal as the military counterparts."

How many gun shops in Louisville? Must be a dozen that will have to comply with the new regs. Last I checked, Boulder has all of two.

Don't forget Home based FFL's who handle transfers and or do internet sales. IMO that's more the focus of this portion. Everyone knows gun stores have inventory. This requires home-based FFL to advertise that there are likely multiple firearms on the property to steal, putting them at greater risk individually and potentially making them pariahs in their neighborhoods/communities. Maybe they figure folks will give up their FFL instead of enduring all the BS. Fewer FFls = fewer transfers (or at least more hassles to get one done) = fewer evil baby killing machines.

and the cancer spreads. When will they figure it out, bad guys don't give a crap about all your gun laws. Practically giving them more soft targets with a stroke of a pen.
Laws aren't "preventable" measures. IOW, more gun laws won't stop mass shootings.
