I've been looking at alot of pics of peoples Colt 9mm AR's that are very different from mine. Mine does not have the brass deflector and the CAR-15 stock is plastic-coated aluminum just like the old-school CAR's. Sorry no pic since I have to pick it up at my folks place. I bought it in 1989 used at a gun shop right outside of Ft.Bragg NC.

Does anyone know more about these carbines? Just for clarity it IS NOT the LE marked one with the plastic stock. This one has the gray colored finish on the upper and lower, with the A1 style sights. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
