    Default Prices

So I?ve never gotten into reloading. And I figured hey why not at the worst possible time ever? So what is a realistic common yet, decent price for some SPP? Currently. I want to start small with a hand loader for .38/357.

Current prices are around $90 per thousand, plus tax. Plus shipping and hazmat if you can't find them locally.

I'd recommend buying a decent single stage and skipping the hand loader. A hand loader should work fine though.

There's an old Lyman spartan for sale on one of the MeWe forums for $55 shipped, for example. I've been using my spartan for 20- something years now.

Good luck either way. If you find components you'll do fine.

Yup, that’s about right on the price.

I would also second that you should get a single stage press and skip the hand press. The hand press only is good for the convenience of doing it wherever you want. Single stage press would still see some use even if you go to a progressive later.

9c a primer is the going rate right now. I don?t see it being much cheaper anytime soon. You should still save money per round of 38 vs buying factory ammo.

besides primers, brass, is fluctuating, especially with the 38 & 357.

Beware of scams. If a website doesn't accept credit card and accepts all types of untracables it's a scam. No limits? it's a scam
Visit the reputable sites and set up email alerts then spin the wheel. Inflation's already happened, prices are not going to go down IMO.

After years of over $0.6 for .38/.357 I too finally decided what a great time to start.
