Most of my favored candidates failed to make it as well.

You can vote but you will get what they want you to have.

Until we get back to vote in person only. One Citizen with a valid ID only getting one vote counted by hand I have not faith in the CO elections.
I looked at a map early this morning. It broke down into that familiar pattern along urban areas and rural areas with the urban areas trending to the more moderate candidate. Although ?my? candidates lost statewide, they won locally.

There were some interesting shenanigans regarding involvement by the Democrats. There are accusations of them spending money to support the more conservative of the candidates as they were viewed as less electable.

Maybe Emerald is not the insider she thinks she is.

Her observations appear to be from afar and not on the ground in Colorado.

The open primary likely had more effect than the counting machines or advertising.

There were few options on the Democrat ballot I recieved, many more on the Republican. As an unaffiliated, I got both.

How many registered Democrats chose to vote in the Republican primary as sabotage votes? Same with left leaning unaffiliated?

The open primary is a horrible idea. This a perfect example why.

Only registered members of a party should have a vote in their party.

If they were registered democrats, they only got a democrat primary ballot, not both.

Same as with registered republicans - they only got the republican primary ballot.

I always urge democratic tree-huggers to register as democrats to save a tree.

YOU are the first responder. Police, fire and medical are SECOND responders.
When seconds count, the police are mere minutes away...
Gun registration is gun confiscation in slow motion.

I think I knew that but I am not very smart.

So... would enough diehards or operatives or change their registration to cast sabotage ballots and actually sway the vote?

This is why a party system should not be supported by the state.

The primary should be all qualified candidates. You pick 1. Any candidate getting 33% or more advances to the final ballot. If none get 33%, top 2 advance regardless of party.

Doing that is one more step to California 2.0. You can guarantee that there won?t even be a Republican on most ballots. They?ll drum up votes for two Democrats and you?ll have no choice at all.

Pay attention to the numbers also. If any one candidate gets over 33%, you won?t have three candidates unless it?s a three way tie.

"Q2. Who can vote in a Primary Election?

A2. During either the Presidential or June primary:

Voters affiliated with a major party: may cast a ballot for candidates of the party they are affiliated with.
Voters affiliated with a minor party: if there is a minor party contest those affiliated with that minor party may cast a ballot for those candidates.
Unaffiliated voters: An unaffiliated voter may cast a ballot for any one political party. If an unaffiliated voter returns a ballot with more than one political party, the ballot will be rejected and none of the votes will be counted."
