Default F16s today, no pics sorry

The 140th Fighter Wing sent 4 F16s out for a series of flyovers this morning. I met some friends for coffee near Swedish Hospital and about 10:45 they came by heading to Telluride for the first fly by. Never get tired of seeing them. I couldn't get a good pic with my cell unfortunately. Hope you all are having a great Independence Day!

I heard they were going to be flying around the state but never saw them, your right, they are a treat to see.
I'm guessing those pilots get a thrill out of flying low and buzzing certain 'Targets' in formation. I know I would!

Good PR and great training for the crews. I wonder who flipped the bill (if any)? Either way, it's worth it.

Fyi the flights are considered part of routine training so no extra expense incurred.

Yes, stadiums flyovers and so on are worked in to training scenarios. In the case of stadium flyovers they work with forward air controllers as if the stadium was a bombing run and the controller is directing them in so that the strike hits at a predetermined time. For instance if they are supposed to fly over at the end of someone simging the national anthem they will have it all timed out and if the singer on the ground is ahead or behind the FAC relays the timing to the jets in the sky so they cam either hit the throttles or cut back a bit. When they hit multiple sites in a day they are using those sites as navigation points for a sortie and so on.

In the end, if they aren't doing stadium flyovers they would just be flying over Eastern Co or Kansas doing the same thing.

Obama restricted Military flyovers for quite a while. Dick.
