    What anyone embraces today will be what is used against themselves tomorrow. Most lack any sense of future consequences either way, though.

    ETA: Also trying to justify, rationalize, and excuse - typical cognitive dissonance - it's why the constitution is little more than toilet paper today, because the judicial does the same thing. Either we stick to what it should be, or we can't bitch when it's entirely ignored and rationalized and stretched to their benefit tomorrow.
    Think about it on a micro scale.

    Imagine if Boulder County went after residents of other counties for breaking BOCO gun laws say in Neighboring Weld county claiming extraterritorial jurisdiction…

    This would be more equivalent to Denver asking neighboring counties to help them investigate who has driven on I25 thru Denver with assault weapons to go shooting in a different part of the state.

    Either way, gun owners would be very upset if this was applied to trying to track legal gun activity by neighboring jurisdictions that are anti-gun.

    My opinion. Don’t try to enforce your laws in an area that is not yours.
