2020 fires started ramping up in July.
2021 wasn't nearly as bad.
There is a small one near Tiny Town today.
What will 2022 bring?

Oh it’s ripe for them, that’s for sure. Where I was up near Granby and Fraser over the weekend was dry as a bone and flush with dead pines fallen, scattered all over the forest floor…I was definitely worried driving along the dirt roads and seeing half a dozen camping groups with fires.

It has been busy, kinda. Not very many fires total, but several monsters.
I assumed we would be out on the fires by now. Nope.

It's been a very dry winter. I am very wary of where things are going this summer but am happy we're nearly halfway through the summer.
A long time ago fire season was typically July to August. Now it is pretty much year round for the civilian fleet anyway.
The earliest we have been out was late April and the latest was Thanksgiving weekend.
