Default Shooter in Indiana Mall Stopped by 'Good Samaritan'

    This one probably won't be in the news cycle very long;

Three people are dead after a man opened fire in an Indianapolis mall. The shooter was killed by a 'good Samaritan,' police said.

Good guy with gun stops bad guy with gun.

Four people were dead, including the suspected shooter, after a man with a long gun entered a mall south of Indianapolis and opened fire, police said.
The shooter appeared to have been fatally shot by a 22-year-old "good Samaritan" who witnessed the attack and opened fire with a handgun with the intention of ending the assault, Ison said.He praised the young man, identifying him only as being from Bartholomew County, south of the metro area.

"The real hero of the day was the Samaritan that was lawfully carrying a firearm who was able to stop the shooter almost as soon as it began," Ison said.

    You mean:

"Gun nut youth denies civil rights of suspect who was failed by society."

    or

"If the wannabe shooter couldn't obtain weapons of war, the citizen wouldn't need to be armed."

    or

    "All gun violence is bad."

Just using my progressive spin generator...

Anyway, I am glad the armed citizen decided "not here, not today". We will probably be seeing more of that.

    I forgot some other ones...

"Why does a 22 year old have a hidden gun in public? How is that even legal?"

"Why did either of them have a gun? The mall has a "No Weapons" policy."

    This is the one.

Remember, they don't want to take away your right to own a gun. They want to make everyone's lives safer and the obvious first step is ridding society of scary black rifles.

I was surprised to see this in USA Today. I didn't think they'd cover it since it doesn't fit the narrative.

CBS News 4 covered it very briefly with no credit given other than a bystander with a legally carried concealed gun.
Then, they went to coverage of efforts to reduce gun violence.
Gun Violence is an interesting term, as is Gun Safety.
I keep thinking that they are attributing some action to the firearm itself versus the person handling it.

POTUS ought to give the guy a medal. Mayor should give him a key to the city. The .gov rarely rewards.

The left is already calling him a vigilante and saying he should be prosecuted for breaking the mall's no firearm policy.

At least no one has to support the shooter, and go through multiple trials for decades.
    WTG good Samaritan.

Sorry to hear about the 4 people.

As expected, Shannon Watts has chimed-in with her sage assessment of the situation...

"I don’t know who needs to hear this but when a 22-year-old illegally brings a loaded gun into a mall and kills a mass shooter armed with an AR-15 after he already killed three people and wounded others is not a ringing endorsement of our implementation of the Second Amendment," Moms Demand Action Founder Shannon Watts said on Twitter.
