Why a single action? Cause I had to sell my 1911 and I'm just as fast cocking the hammer on it as I am disengaging the thumb safety on my 1911, I'm faster getting a sight picture with it than any gun I currently own, and its definitely the most reliable gun I own.
Call me skeptical. At least with a 1911, you don't have to click off the thumb safety before every shot. Also, are you pulling the hammer back with strong hand or weak hand? More power to you though. Make sure it doesn't fall out of your pocket.
