They had parents, mothers and fathers, leaders, and government, as we all do today.
These are simply, people.

The most important thing to be learned from those who demand "Equality For All" is that all are not equal...

I think it is important to realize that you could put any picture in this post besides Native American kids, could be Polish prisoners at a Nazi death camp, or images of the horrible racial lynchings this country endured in the past.
Bottom line is not to forget history. This does not mean to erase it, too many statues have gone down in disgrace. shameful ignorance by dumb ass jerks backed up by big ass jerks in office.
Pretty fed up by what our educators are teaching our kids, we are the greatest nation in history, and we need to expand that belief, not tear it apart with PC bull crap.
I do not have any kids in public or private schools, (too old), but would love to know what they are teaching kids today about American History. Just need to get them of the.......squirrel!
What's missing, from my perspective, is a philosophy of "most people are born good." Our nation, our constitution, our declaration of independence, is built upon the fact that most people are born good, and that we should celebrate and encourage, and indeed, put into law, that the pursuit of life, liberty, and happiness, is correct, and what any good person would and should aspire to.
Will there be outliers, yes. Will Government and Society get things wrong, yes.
But you have to trust and believe, that the individual is good, and that their pursuit of life, liberty, and happiness, is good... for our nation to survive.
-John
It's a nice philosophy but we are not born good or bad, we are simply born.
The only things we know are what we see or hear. That is what guides most people throughout life.
As you said there are outliers but almost all behaviors are learned.
A philosophy of "most people are born good" may make you sleep well at night, but it will also get you smashed in the head with a brick by someone not sharing those feelings.
We are born good.
Look at any baby, and you will immediately understand that we are born good.
-John
If you don't understand that both people, were born equally, and with good intent, then you cannot make later assertions.
If we are born good, why do we need to taught how to be good? And in your example, need it put into law?
