Default Spectrum cell service.....anyone have it?

I've read a handful of national threads on Spectrum cell (not cable TV, just cell phone) service but was wondering if anyone on this forum in Colorado has it and how their experience with it has been. It sounds like they piggyback off Verizon towers but aside from that I haven't heard many firsthand accounts of how it performs in CO/front range environs.

    All input appreciated

Well, if they are simply using Verizons network it will not be any better than Verizon. It will probably be throttled a bit from the Verizon service from the same tower.

While I can't speak to Spectrum specifically, we've been Xfinity mobile customers for multiple years now. Prior to that we spent about $150+ on Verizon wireless because it offered the best coverage compared to other post pay options at a fraction of the price.

I wish we would have left Verizon a long time ago for Xfinity Mobile because it's literally the exact same experience but we pay anywhere from $15-$30 per month depending on how much data we use that particular month. We've saved thousands since switching and I wish we would have checked it out sooner.

Another option worth looking into is US Mobile. There another MVNO similar to Xfinity and probably spectrum. They basically just resell Verizon service more or less. I've read a lot of posts about US Mobile and they have the exact same priority as Verizon clients according to tests. We'll be leaving Verizon/Xfinity for our home internet service within the next couple of months for our city's fiber solution once available so we will no longer qualify for Xfinity Mobile as you have to have one of their other products. That's what got me shopping again and it seems like US Mobile is probably the next best option if you don't have Xfinity for your home internet or phone or TV. In fact, it may even be a better option and we'll be switching probably this weekend.

I would suggest checking into Xfinity Mobile if you have any of their other products already. Otherwise, make sure you add US Mobile to the options you're checking out before you make any decisions.
