I'm 64 and have never had a flu shot in my life. Hadn't had the flu in over 26 years prior to getting covid a few months ago. I have had colds that were worst than the vid. My wife had been vaxed for covid and got it at the same time. Her symptoms were slightly different than mine but overall no better. I was always skeptical about the whole covid thing. Any time you get the government and the media involved in anything, things get exaggerated. Which is what I think happened with this covid. They seemed to have developed a vax rather quickly. then from what I understand, it was approved under an emergency situation, So it was not carefully considered the way it should have been. Considering how much money was likely made by the company's producing the meds. I really wonder if this was more profit-motivated than necessary.

They were mandatory but on the honor system for the 22 years I served. I'm sure there were waivers available for people who were allergic to eggs or who had other valid excuses but without the valid excuse, failure to get mandated vaccinations was basically a failure to maintain readiness.
Flu shots for past twenty years and haven’t gotten sick in that time- and the wife is a pediatrician and gets exposed to all kids of crap. Not a big deal.
I'll stop buying black rifles when my wife stops buying black shoes.
