The point is; in the past those stores could not get a license even if they wanted one....alcohol sales are odd when you look at the rules between state to state. So if you are this type of store you don't qualify to sell xxx; but the store that can often sells the exact same sort of stuff the other store does. Sometimes the rule is; if xx% of your business is selling booze then you are a liquor store and are licensed as such.
When I say it is odd while the inventory overlap between those stores are similar; not really saying one should not be able to sell the same sort of "stuff". I have lived in a few townships that were so small that pretty much one store sold everything you needed. You need some t-bone steaks; yep have that...how about school supplies, got that to. What about wine and such; got that too, along with some common auto parts, etc.
And yes, you do need a license to sell, even if it is Doritos....but just not the same license.

Bradbn4 - Having fun in Colorado
This is just my $.02 worth and its value is just that; $.02.
Amendment D: Yes. While the separation is still a couple of years away, those judges affected will know and have time to move into their judicial districts.
Amendment E: Yes For what I think are obvious reasons
Amendment F: No
I don't like Amendments as they change the state Constitution.
Proposition FF: Unsure, but wavering to Yes. I can see the argument of providing one good meal to kids who may or may not get that at home. I've just seen way too many irresponsible parents in my years who the kids are afterthoughts or worse, a means of obtaining money from the gov and they are left to fend for themselves. The last couple of years, the feds have paid for two meals at all schools in Colorado for all kids. Before that, my elementary school kid's class had some low income kids in it and he used to buy them stuff on occasion using his (my money) lunch account.
Proposition GG: Yes I would like to see research done on some of the proposed ballot issues and not just a lot of words that cause peoples eyes to gloss over and not read.
Proposition 121: Yes
Proposition 122: No Nope.
Proposition 123: No Nope.
Proposition 124: No Keep the mom and pop shops and don't allow those with big money to push them out of business.
Proposition 125: No Same as above
Proposition 126: No
Again, just my opinion. Means nothing to anyone but me.

That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.
I agree with you except the school lunch nonsense.
I am wary of every increase in income taxes. For now it is placed on earners over $300k. When analyzed in two years as required, it likely will be expanded to lower income brackets. We cannot allow government access to our wallets. Once they get their sticky fingers in there, they never let go.
And always beware when any program is touted as "for the children".

I don't know if Costco sells beer, but it's the BEST place to buy wine and liquor!

If the government is wanting money to provide healthy food, you can guarantee the money will not be used wisely and the food won?t be healthy. Hopefully the public de-education system continues to fail.
I am torn on the alcohol sales issues, I see pros and cons either way.
Generally I am opposed to all things drug related, but find it hypocritical to be against plant derived medicines while we continue to allow pills and drugs to be produced and sold by the Sorcerers, but I also see how little self control humans have and know that there will be abuses either way. As there is nothing preventing anyone from acquiring psychedelic Mushrooms and the like without creating additional bureaucracy I will likely vote no on that issue.
If the food is “Healthy” the kids won’t eat its and you get trash cans full of wasted food.
The test is pizza and burger day. Empty plates and all food eaten. Healthy whole wheat pasta and broccoli dishes…..straight to the trash. If the kids are in line they have to take the required meals and vegetables. They take the apple and then drop the trays in the trash.
Healthy is a waste when it comes to kids meals.
Parents should be responsible for the meals if they want the healthier options. Kids just want good stuff.
