Colorado weeds sales were down 22% percent in August over last year. And sales have been dropping for a while now. Perhaps we're reaching the point that legalization has made it so common that people are losing interest.

The deer in the headlights look of the cannabis business community here is amusing. It's like they never expected other states to legalize and offer direct competition, nor did they understand how the novelty might wear-off, nor did they understand that the economy has a direct impact of their primary customer base's ability to buy product. They just expected the market, sales and profits to just keep going up and up, because, it's legal weed, man...

The vagrants of Boulder welcome you...
I'm going out on a limb to say that sales are down because people are just buying on the black market from the same dealer they always bought it from in the past. The thing is that black market weed is still a thing as it always has and it's cheaper than from the dispensary and doesn't have tax added on to the top. As a dealer, selling the stuff on the streets is a pretty safe bet as almost zero law enforcement effort is put in to it any more.
If your post count is higher than your round count, you are a troll.
The market decides. Per the Denver Post today:
The average cannabis wholesale price recently fell to an all-time low of $658 per pound for flower, according to the Colorado Department of Revenue. That’s down 7% from the previous low of $709 per pound on July 1. The previous low point was $759 per pound in 2018.
And I thought this was going to be about Seal training.

People who are heavy users are growing it instead of buying it retail. Costs of the growing supplies have dropped quite a bit as prices (and taxes) on retail weed have gone up. Retail is for suckers in the weed world. The novelty has also worn off as others have said. Pot tourism isn't as popular as more states have made retail weed legal. The news outlets keep stating how much the state has lost in taxes. I'm still waiting to see anything good that the weed taxes have paid for.
