No, this is new, Joe K, as so much communication now happens online. It's instantly available to the Government, where an article in the Denver Post, 20 years ago, would take ages to reach Government, and/or cause a free speech issue.

The way we talk today, is under assault by Government. This, is a first amendment issue.

Perhaps more importantly, the PEOPLE we listen to, are being selected by Government. We don't get to hear differing opinions. Those are censored.

+1. I like the rest of you have family and acquaintances who are pretty much brainwashed now. Where you get your news makes all the difference in the world. My sister in law and mother in law get their news from CBS and CNN. They don't believe news stories about Hunter's laptop, election problems, problems with the Covid vaccine, censorship in social media, and problems at the border because they aren't hearing about it through their trusted news sources. In fact, they are now conditioned to immediately dismiss any discussion about that and many other subjects as right wing disinformation.

We are seriously on the wrong side of the information war. Public opinion will not substantially shift in our favor because of lack of critical thinking in most people, lack of control of important institutions, total message coordination on the other side, and very few leaders on our side that will actually fight for what is right. Not sure what the exact term is, but at this point enough resources and momentum are engaged and fighting on the other side to win the war.

The Media and Government are obviously in this together, and what they did to Donald Trump is so much worse than Watergate.

What they did to the American people, is tantamount to treason.

What they continue to do today, is unconscionable.

But it is up to each one of us, to go to City Council meetings, and fight.

Go to School Council meetings, and fight.

Go to your neighbors and ask them to fight with you.

The majority don't have either the stomach nor the inclination (too lazy) for a fight. So long as they can use the drive-thru to get their take-out coffee, all is good in their world.

To get people to stand up and make their voices heard they have to feel a direct, obvious and personal offense to themselves. For most folks, what is going on in their communities, state and this nation offers degrees of separation to see and feel the effects directly and obviously. Even when folks can see the offenses those committing them just point their fingers at others (usually blaming Conservatives) and the sheep believe what they're told.

Nothing will change because people are too comfortable. Those receiving the benefits of bad government behavior are growing in number and have an interest in continuing down this path. By the time those feeling the pinch recognize what's happening they will be too far into the minority to be able to do anything about it. It's happened many times throughout history; it just happens to be happening to us now.

The ones best situated and equipped to handle the problem are on the drip and are essentially hired guns for the system that is unrecognizably broken.

Every so often a convenient conflict is drummed up and the MAM population goes off to fight yet another foreign war and the stinking festering cancer at home is swept back under the rug and handed down to the next generation to deal with.

Simultaneously, each successive generation is less and less equipped to deal with the reality of the problem through the continued and ever increasing reliance on the drip, mass formation psychosis through all forms of Media and big H History TM along with a sustained effort to slowly genocide off the American population.

The population is kept ever so divided by the illusion of differing political parties and politicians, sports, and the hyper focus on all things that divide and confuse, class, race, age, sex, immigration, government administrated charitable programs, ones particular flavor of sexual deviancy, and a purposefully designed confusing economic system.

But man are we entertained and fed delicious poison. Stores and Shops on every corner where you can buy everything and anything but happiness, Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, Tell-A-Vision, CaBaal err Cable, Social Media, Casinos, Sports Betting, Movie Theaters, Pornography everywhere, Bars, Clubs, Concerts, Drugs, Amusement Parks, McDonalds, Dairy Queen, Krispy Kremes, Pizza Hut, Steroid and Hormone injected plastic ?Meat?, Bubbly Sugar Water, Candy, Bioengineered ?Food? and Booze of every kind.
