The majority don't have either the stomach nor the inclination (too lazy) for a fight. So long as they can use the drive-thru to get their take-out coffee, all is good in their world.

To get people to stand up and make their voices heard they have to feel a direct, obvious and personal offense to themselves. For most folks, what is going on in their communities, state and this nation offers degrees of separation to see and feel the effects directly and obviously. Even when folks can see the offenses those committing them just point their fingers at others (usually blaming Conservatives) and the sheep believe what they're told.

Nothing will change because people are too comfortable. Those receiving the benefits of bad government behavior are growing in number and have an interest in continuing down this path. By the time those feeling the pinch recognize what's happening they will be too far into the minority to be able to do anything about it. It's happened many times throughout history; it just happens to be happening to us now.
