    Default Mmm...Meat!

Tis the season to buy a rib roast.

King Doops has them for $7.47/lb.

Those of you that are Sam's or Costco members, can the clubs beat that price? What about their inventories? My local store had three giant 25 pounders and three normal sized ones. None were graded.

Yep, the sale started Wednesday. Get 'em while you can!

I got a 10 lb "Choice" Ribeye Roast for the $7.47/lb (with Sooper Card) at King Soopers on Wednesday. I'll be cutting it down into steaks for Christmas. Cost me

For $5.79/lb (with Card) they have WHOLE Choice Rib Roasts but even at that price, for the whole roast, the smallest they had was $124.xx. Few in my family aside from me like Rib Roast ("too fatty", "too rare"...) so I opted for the ribeye roast.

I was told about the sale from someone at Sam's on Saturday. He also said Safeway is supposed to be running similar sales. Unless Sam's & Costco chose to run an unannounced sale, I don't think they can match/beat King Soopers prices (Sam's prices were $13.99/lb on Saturday).

I'm waiting for the annual NY Strip roasts to go on sale at King Soopers.

IF you got the kings / kroger flyer. You would have seen it was $4 and change with a $25 purchase

Come next monday the 21st, safeway will have them for $4.99 , or $5 and change per lb in whole packers. Not sure if SW or Kings offers what they do down here. The 1st wed of the month 10% off for seniors AND the 15th is 10% off for veterans.
