I work with a bunch of people in Houston and Midland, TX. They were all out of sorts about the the weather forecast. The rest of us are in Colorado or Casper, WY and we just laughed at them.

That said, I've been in Midland during winter weather and it's a different beast because the ice is much worse and no one knows how to handle it.

I was working in the Pecos/Fort Stockton area about 10 years ago when it didn't get above 11 degrees for 3 days- everything froze.
