.45 Colt Load

I have 300gr XTPs and a jug of H110.

Load books range from 17.3 to 23.6.

Anyone have a load they like with this combo?

21-22 gns. However that load will kill a Smith & Wesson. You are getting into 454 Casull territory.

Pretty much a Freedom Arms and Ruger only load. And it isnt much fun to shoot through them either.

Speer has Ruger data posted for their 300. But it's h110 so heavy charge typically yields better accuracy and of course more recoil.

Like hoser mentioned recoil can be intense so heavy gun, big grip using a glove etc come into play.
