Default Proposed Colorado semi-auto gun ban

I've attached a draft House Bill for this legislative session, entitled Concerning the "Mass Shooting Prevention Act of 2023". Everyone needs to read this and pass it along to others.

This is the draft only. I obtained it from a liberal FB page. Not sure where they got it.

What a wish list. I like the burden of proof for legal ownership being transferred to the citizen. Do they realize how many arms in the state fit their definition?

That's my thought too. How many people actually keep receipts? I'd wager not many. What other means do we have of showing ownership?

The draft language of the bill contains the same tired patronizing innuendo and the content fully demonstrates they have absolutely no clue about the firearms they intend to regulate and their commonality in society. From the bill, you would assume there are only a few hundred of the items currently in existence within the states borders.

8 states plus D.C. have "assault weapon" bans in place.

The drafters of this bill likely copied their laws. Which were probably based on the 1994 ban that Joe Biden claims to have written. It was actually Diane Feinstein but why let a little truth soil your career?

The gun ban organizations will also lend their lawyers to help draft bills. Everytown was most likely behind all the local bills that were forwarded in the last year.

As far as legal ownership I would start by taking pictures of the serial numbers.
They will have a time stamp.
Add your driver's license in the picture and it should definitely help.
Not sure if it will meet the definition of "burden of proof" but we should have a record anyways.
