This doesn't pass the smell test.

- No one noticed it until it made it far inside our borders? Yeah right.

- "It's a spy balloon" Ha, China has satellites, why would they need a balloon? (that's traveling higher than some satellites
apparently?)

- "We can't shoot it down, it may hurt someone". In one of the least populated areas in the country? When weather balloons fall out the sky every time they are used? Nobody seemed to care about big balloons falling before...

- A big balloon out smarted our $2T defense budget? Not likely.

- Why wouldn't we bring it down to figure out for a fact what it is?

Either our $2T defense did just get outsmarted by a balloon (let that sink in), we missed this thing completely and just showed the Chinese that they can float balloons over the US with ease, allowing them to float "cargo" our way. Or, this thing already has some sort of dangerous "cargo" on it and that's why we don't want to bring it down.
