OMG. Now we're spending $800k to shoot down some kid's birthday balloon that got free...
How many people are going to start letting free big mylar balloons with "payloads" attached just for fun?
All of the sudden we're shooting down everything we can't identify? There are unauthorized things flying in commercial airspace all the time. Oh, they dangerous? Then why didn't we shoot things down before? Hell, today the Pentagon said it could have been a commercial craft of some sort. Shoot first, ask questions later.
Weird none of the unidentified ones have been recovered yet.
Why start shooting now? If they thought it'd make the USA look tough after their china balloon failure, it doesn't. It's making us look like a freaking joke.
