In an on going effort to make this gun louder, I welded on a amd65 muzzle brake, refinished the stock, straightened up the rear sight, refinished the metal and reduced the trigger pull from 12lbs to about 5-6lbs

It still kicks, just not like it used too

Now that looks like something I'd do, just because. I have multiple muzzle attachments for my pseudoscout, which happens to be a 98K rebarreled to .308 with a surplus barrel and set up with a forward mount scope. The barrel, being surplus, was threaded at the end when i got it so it seemed like a sin to waste perfectly good barrel threads! I have a brake I made for it, a couple of flash suppressors made from L1A1 units, and a thread protecting cap. The brake easily doubles the racket! The others just look cool.

Yeah I did the work.

Is it hard to work the bolt while feeding ammo or is difficult all the time? This rifle had that problem while closing the bolt on ammo.I did some things to help that problem but the bolt face is pitted and it won't be totally fixed. We would have to replace the bolt head to fix it. It also depends on the ammo. I haven't been able to play with the finnish versions of these rifles. I heard they made and re-arseneled the russians and are very good.

I would be happy to look at anyones rifle but keep in mind I am not a gunsmith. I am just a guy that knows how to turn a wrench

The main difference with the Finns is in the sights, barrel lengths and bands, or in the way they are "fitted out" I suppose. I have a Finnish M91 that I had to do some tweaking on the interruptor to get it to feed properly, but other than the finger-jointed stock you can't really tell if it's Russian or Finnish. The ones the Finns did a lot of work on, such as the M27, M28, M28/30, and the M39, are more obvious. The Finns did some real work with sights on these rifles, and the M28/30 and M39 have some very nice sights on them.

Try a different ammo. My M38 wouldn't work well with Hungarian rounds. After being fired you had to smack the bolt with some serious force to get it to eject the casing. I think it has to do with the casing expanding inside the chamber.
