A good rule of thumb is bring 200 rounds for an outdoor match and 100 for an indoor match. That way you wont run out/low.

This Sunday PPPS will host a six stage IPSC/USPSA match.

All the $$$ we collect will go straight to Deputy Micha Flicks family. There will also be a donation jar there as well.

Detective Micah Flick was killed in the line of duty 05 Feb 2018. Micha was an 11-year veteran of the El Paso County Sheriff's Office. Today was his 11th anniversary with the sheriff's office. Micah is survived by his wife and 7-year-old twins. He was a native of Colorado Springs and graduated from Colorado Springs Christian School. Born Aug. 20, 1983. His current assignment was as a detective in the investigations division and he has served in the jail at CJC's floor security and court and transport with the Special Response Team and on patrol.

Deputy Scott Stone was a five-year veteran assigned to patrol. He was wounded by gunfire and is currently in stable condition at Memorial Hospital.

Detective Sgt. Jacob Abendshan is a 16-year veteran. He was wounded by gunfire and has been released from the hospital.

Colorado Springs Police Officer Marcus Yanez was also wounded by gunfire and has been released from the hospital.

Great help with set up. Thanks to everyone that came through to wake up early and lend a hand. We couldn't and wouldn't do it with peoples help.

As usual, great stages by Gunga. Four 32 round field courses, a 16 round steel speed shoot and a classifier that didn't suck.

Remember no Pueblo IPSC next month (Sept) so everyone can go shoot the Colorado State Championship.

The past several months help with setting things up has been pretty sad. In fact, last month one person was there all alone from 6:45-8:00 setting things up alone before anyone showed up to help. So until things improve, we will be a 5 stage match to lighten the burden on the too small set up crew.

Once people remember it is a volunteer sport and people need to help out to make things happen, we will go back to the normal 6 stages.

Lots of fun yesterday. Lots of tough shooting, actually had to aim quite a bit.

Our squad had a forum member get together. There was 5-6 forum members on the same squad.

And I even decided to break out my revolver for the match. Forgot how hard it is to shoot 140-150 rounds DAO at small targets as fast as you can.

Range got blasted this afternoon with rain. Standing water on all ranges and the power is out at the gate. Tomorrow is a cancel.
