I am against arming teachers for this reason.

Arming all teachers and administrators is stupid. Arming those who have the correct attitude and capabilities is the correct answer. I can think of several at my son's HS who would fit that criteria.

and not all teachers need to be armed, BUT it should be a choice for those that want to be and willing to take the time for training, etc. Make it so those that are armed are not known.

There should be trained and armed security at every school. Stop the threat before it can get to a classroom or to people. Or at least, stop the threat before too much damage is done. Waiting for police to respond after while it is happening is not working well.

What will that cost? Do you think the teacher unions or the board of education members that are beholden to them will allow that?

They are constantly whining about being underpaid. Allocating more money to men with guns to protect children is a lower priority than hiring "men" with vaginas and agendas to teach kids about the evils of our society.
