The easiest thing would to register it somewhere else in Colorado where emissions tests aren?t required. You?ll still be rolling with a Colorado plate and won?t have to worry about getting it tested.
As far as getting your Jeep to pass emissions, you could switch to full synthetic oil and see what happens. It isn?t hydrocarbon based so if your engine has some cylinder or ring wear or questionable valve seals and is burning something other than the air/fuel mixture running the synthetic oil could clean it up a bit.
Do you remember if it is NOX or CO you were having trouble with or both?
