Nuggets parade and rally security screening? What happened with the Avalanche?

Does anybody know if they are planning to run active security screening checkpoints (with metal detection) for the Nuggets parade and rally?

Did anybody go to the Avalanche event last year? Based on what can be found online, they appear have the same organization and supposed restrictions.

That would be pretty tough to do along the entire route. I can see it Civic Center Park.

I can't imagine going down there and I am a big Nuggets fan. My dislike of crowds outweighs my love of the team.

Yes, I did. In order to ensure a positive experience for my son, I followed the "rules". The last thing I wanted was to get to the Civic Center and be greeted by a bunch of Garrett wielding goons, even though logic told me they wouldn't be able to have such a set-up. Of course, on the way back to Union Station, we walked right by the double shooting scene with nice pools of fresh blood on the sidewalk.

Anyway, it was fun, and we survived.

Denver is such a wholesome and lovely city. Polis and Handcock should be so proud of what they have created.

I caught part of it on the tv.

It made me happy when Mayor Hancock was introduced and all I heard was boos.

It looked a LOT of people were there.

The crowd pushed a cop in front of the fire truck Jokic was riding on. He may lose his leg.
