Sat in the waiting room once for a few hours, with a bunch of other people, then was dismissed.

I've been called several times, only got to Voir Dire once. The lead detective on the case was one of my team leaders as a MP in the Army. The judge nicely asked if I could put aside our history and judge the case on the facts presented. I politely said, "Your Honor, I went into combat with this man. I trusted him with my life then, and I would today." I was immediately excused.

It's a measure of the civility in this country that no ones seems to fear constantly pissing off the people who own lots of guns.

This. DougCo. The one time I had to appear. Case plead out while we were all waiting.

Another prior, I called in and was dismissed.

My wife got Grand Jury and had to go once a month for a whole year.

Credit TFOGGER : Liberals only want things to be "fair and just" if it benefits them.
Credit Zundfolge: The left only supports two "rights"; Buggery and Infanticide.
Credit roberth: List of things Government does best; 1. Steal your money 2. Steal your time 3. Waste the money they stole from you. 4. Waste your time making you ask permission for things you have a natural right to own. "Anyone that thinks the communists won't turn off your power for being on COAR15 is a fucking moron."

Nothing for the first 4 days, then a whopping $60 per day.

Well, ended up as foreman in a civil trial. We deliberated for about 2 1/2 hours after 3 days of testimony.

Now get back to work. Your boss has been wondering where you've been and why no work has been getting done.
