Huh. I keep my used oil and filter it for use with common fuel rail diesel engines. Off road use only of course.

I just left O'Reilly where I bought supplies for oil change on my commuter, $72 and I will have to dispose of used oil. It will either be in the shop oil furnace or my neighbor pours it over his recycled asphalt driveway.

    Ouch.

I couldn?t afford half of what I have if a paid retail for everything.
Same here. $700 is completely ridiculous. I just had my 30k service done to my 2018 Cummins Dually at Christopher Dodge world and I said no to $300 for oil; $700 is total BS so I did it myself. for the cost of three gallons of Rotella synthetic and a Napa gold filter. I dropped off the oil at the O'reillys here in Conifer. It's somewhat of a PITA because you have to go through the opening in the wheel liner to get to the oil filter, but definitely not worth the extra money to have it done.

This was at a Phil Long dealership in Trinidad, working on a '19 Ram 3500 with a 6.7 cummins.

Check out Phil Long's maintenance plus deal. I've used it for the last several years, I can't buy the oil and filter for my 6.7L PSD for that price. (279.95/4) And every Black Friday they knock $30 off the price. https://www.phillong.com/car-maintenance-package.htm

I did buy this package now. $70 for an oil change is much better. The question will be the fees, which would double the cost.

And if they can get you in...chances are you'll need to schedule it well in advance to get your preferred time/date.

Sorry encorehunter, but that dealer bent you over BAD. Charging that for an oil change is criminal.

I've never been charged a fee on top. The new 'books' are digital and attached to Phil Long's app. My long time service advisor at Chapel Hills told me nothing has changed. Scheduling has never been an issue, but expect that they will send your truck through Quicklane if the dealer has one.

Sorry to see that encorehunter, it's a shame they charged you an arm and a leg.

Did you get a discount because you were a finger short of a full arm?
