Been through a handful of minor earthquakes but there's one I'll never forget. I just finished watching and HATING the first Transformers movie in the theater. As the credits started there was some shaking from a small one. I thought to myself "I really hope watching this terrible movie isn't the last thing I do before the earth swallows me up." Those are the moments that stick with you.

The first Transformers movie was better than any move ever with the words "Star Wars" in the title. Also, The Beatles are overrated.

Many many moons ago we lived in enlisted housing on YPG, (Yuma Proving Grounds) and between earthquakes, the artillery ranges, the bombing ranges and jets breaking the sound barrier in a hurry to get back to MCAS Yuma, our house shook daily.
The earthquakes were distinctive and you could tell when they happened.

We're heading to Sedona tomorrow to band birds at the hummingbird festival next weekend. It will be "warmer" than in previous years. High of 104 vs. the 80's. Not looking forward to the heat. Then we head to Tucson, Patagonia, Nogales and back.

I'm in the little desert town in California that just had a 7.3 a couple years ago or so. Let's not talk or even think about earthquakes.
I'm told there were people who left that day and never came back. My friend ran outside naked. Said fireplaces and block walls were coming down. He also said the women and kids screams from all around were something out of a horror movie.
I asked if that was from the earthquake or seeing you nekkid.

    I've been to California twice.

The first time they through me an earthquake. 4.1 as I recall. I woke to swinging lamps and shaking beds.

Here's a very cool site that Kazoo referenced, and you can check whether you are just disorientated, or Earthquake!

We have had several 4-4.3 earthquakes.in the last year here. I have yet to feel one, or atleast recognize it as an earthquake.
