I have several of his books. He was great at showcasing Colorado.

Very talented guy. He did it using film, lenses and filters in the days before digital image editing.

Not to mention carrying medium and large format cameras up and down hills.

    Bummer.

I enjoyed his books. His books, along with those by Colin Fletcher had a lot of influence on me when I was younger.

    RIP

That's sad. I enjoyed his photography.

HistoryColorado.org is the repository for Fielder’s body of work and it can be viewed online. I appreciated his book recreating the photos of William Henry Jackson from 1870 the most.

I have several of his books and went to a number of his presentations. Great guy, great photography.

I remember listening to a radio interview several years ago. He would plan for days and hike for hours to 'stake-out' a location and if light & weather conditions were right, it paid off. Many times it didn't.

    Very dedicated naturalist and photographer.

Can't say I'll miss the guy. His pictures were nice, but his extremist environmental views weren't. His politics and political activism were terrible.
I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.
