What did you do in the shop today?

The similarly titled thread in reloading got me thinking we need a thread here for projects in the shop.

I bought new low rings for my 40X. They are for Picatinny, and my bases are weaver. I was aggravated (this was my third try at getting the rings right) so I took a file to the bases and opened up the slots to accept the rings. It was pretty easy and turned out really good.

I also mounted a Super Sniper scope to my Savage .22 that had gone back for warranty work.

Finally, I tried the new thermal laminator my wife bought me and put together some new dope cards.

Dreamed of what I was going to do with my 'recently re-gifted back to me' R700 SA .243.

I moved my Vortex back a little bit to make sure I wasn't stretching my neck for proper eye relief, and to make sure everything was level before my anti cant level comes on Monday! And I also made a new Kydex cheek riser that I angled to the right just a little bit so my eye would be aligned with the optic without tilting my head. Hope it works. Then I drank a bunch of beer.

Stuck a 5-25 on my Barrett 50. Hopefully going to get it sighted in soon.

If you get bored, you should post up a picture you posted a while back. It's you shooting a fifty-cal prone and there is a fireball the size of my truck. That was an awesome picture.

.50 cal and plinking are two words you don't usually associate with each other.

Plinking as in ammo that is pretty much only half a minute of car door accurate. Add to that the inaccuracy of the Barrett 82 and its pretty much minute or car door past 600-800 yards.

Fun to shoot is about it.
