I have a TA-11 donut and it is a really good scope. Solid and compact.

I also have several S&B 1-4 and 1-8 Short Dots.

If I was starting over, I would not spend the money on an ACOG and put that $$$ towards a FFP 1-4 or 1-8.

Below is my 1-8 on an 18 inch rifle. It isnt so heavy that it makes the gun feel top heavy and it doesent look out of place on it. The only time this rifle sees a bipod is when checking a zero or working up loads.

I also have a 1-4 on a 416 Rigby.
