How about the Dem Rep Jamaal Bowman (accidentally) pulling a fire alarm while senate was in session on resolving the shut down! The building was cleared for a while.
This joker, an educator, says he confused the alarm with an automatic door actuator, dumb move for someone who should know better.
If a Republican pulled this stunt, it would be all over the news.
Shutdowns are both parties holding a gun on a hostage and each thug demanding a ransom, all while each claim the other party is the "bad guy", and they are there to "save" the hostage. "I'm gunna share the ransom with 'em, I swear!"
The irony is, a good portion of people are stockholmed and will believe one of them, instead of recognizing they are being held up by two opportunists.
We might have trouble getting thru the gate/security due to less man power available but job site will be open.
If you're unarmed, you are a victim.
This whole Speaker of the House thing is a disgrace. I did like how Pelosi needs to vacate her 'private' office in the building and the interim speaker trying to break the gavel at the close of the show.
This is the kind of thing that leads to those videos you see of political members of some 2nd or 3rd world country getting into a knock down drag out fight right in the chambers.
I think the Republicans have stepped on it once again, Gaetz and his lackeys should feel proud, jerks!
The Great Kazoo's Feedback
"when you're happy you enjoy the melody but, when you're broken you understand the lyrics".
McCarthy knew he was on thin ice when he started because of how many votes it took to get him the office. Turning around and passing a clean CR for the White House was clearly a slap in the face for a lot of Republicans. The Democrats are chortling now but just wait until they have to face a Steve Scalise or Jim Jordan.
The MSM is eager to say the Republicans -- and especially Gaetz -- have stepped in it. I think McCarthy stepped in it and this is the predictable and natural result.
Congress only does a few things: screw things up, steal our money and eat away at our freedom.
When they aren't fighting, they're doing all of that ^.
I'm thrilled they're too distracted to do anything. They should vote each other out of their positions every chance they get. It's the only accountability we ever get since this country has a hard-on for voting in dumbass incumbents for decades straight.
No funding bill? There shouldn't be a funding bill because there isn't any freaking money. So yeah, if there isn't any money the government spending should stop. If they'd do their damned jobs and actually stick to a REAL budget, we wouldn't have this issue.
They're measured by how many new bills they pass. F that. Every bill passed and signed into law is less freedom for us. Infighting = less laws. That's great.
I'll say it again, our system was DESIGNED to make it hard to accomplish anything because our founders understood that governments aren't friends of the people. The real problem now is not that they aren't working together, it's that they've been a little too buddy buddy for far too long. Congress working together drained us dry.
