    Default Any clue what was going on on E470

    About 5:30 today?

    Headed northbound and got just past the DIA exit...several state patrol come along in the right hand lane racing past everyone...gets in front of us...and slows everyone down so a mess of busses can get up in front...then precede to take over the left hand lane with 3 cops in front, several busses, a cop or two, several more busses, several more cops. They then camped the left lane (with no one in the right) doing 60 in a 75 zone. People lined up behind them for miles.

    I know you arn't supposed to pass in the right but I finally did so.

    There was no good reason for holding everyone up like that.

    Escorting migrant buses maybe? I know they've been getting sent to Denver.

    They do that for visiting teams.............. Who is playing CU or CSU this Saturday here?
    Wait I looked............. Stanford is playing CU Friday at 8:00pm.

    They were going N/B on E470 not up I25 from the border.................nor do they get police escorts........ So No.

    The Presidential motorcades are a BUNCH of up armored Expeditions......... not buses.............. So No.

    There's no legal restriction from passing on the right on a multi lane highway.
