    Default Unusual camera

I am a bit of a camera buff, I had never heard of the CO-2 cartridge powered Graphic Jet 35mm camera from the 1960's. It powered the shutter and advanced the film, good for 6-8 rolls of 20 exp film. Big collector's item today.

There are notes about using different cartridges in the instructions (on line), They say to use only Graflex Co-2 photo cartridges but the type used for beverages like Sparkletts are acceptable. I guess the other BB/Pellet gun type are too 'dirty'. I'm sure the air seal was a big problem too, but it was a cool idea.

What county manufactured this wonder? Pretty neat idea before fancy batteries.

Graphic has been around forever, Rochester NY, USA manufacturer. You are right, great idea!

The last Co-2 powered item I bought was a riot control bean bag gun, scary!

That is pretty cool. I've never heard of such a thing.

Side Note Trivia: The prop makers for the original Star Wars movie (now called "A New Hope") used a Grafex (the maker of this camera) 3-cell flash tube to make Luke Skywalkers lightsaber.
