    Default Arapahoe Road Gas Wars

If you haven't been on Arapahoe Road just west of I-25 lately, there are two stations in a bit of a gas price war. The QT, which is about half a mile west is the instigator. This afternoon, they had 85 for $1.71. A Mobil station, which is just west of the interstate, has been matching them (though this afternoon they had thrown in the towel and were at $2.22/gal. Yesterday the Mobil was $1.72. The pic was from Friday when they were at $1.83. The QT was mobbed this afternoon. Both have been jammed up

It's just the 85 that's cheap. Even the 87 and 91 are not discounted. For diesel specifically, I can't imagine it's a huge portion of either of their sales, but then again that's just a guess.

I'd rather pay 25 cents a gallon more not to wait in line.

    AMEN!

My time is worth way more than the $5-$10 I'd save waiting in line

There's a Circle K station by the Safeway at Quebec / Arapahoe. No lines this morning and 1.74/1.84 cash/credit.

    100%.
If I saved $0.25 a gallon for a 20 gallon tank, we’re talking about $5…. If I’m waiting for 3 or more cars, forget it. I flat out cannot imagine waiting for half an hour to fill up and only saving $5… that’s idiocy.

You guys are killing me with those proces. Down here it's $3.75 for 87 oct, which is the lowest octane rating available.

So it isn?t all sunshine and rainbows down there then?

I?m in the same boat as everyone else in this thread in that my time is valuable and I?m not going to waste it to save ten bucks.
