Hiring Commercial Low Voltage

Not sure if this is the place to put this.. Thought I would post this here for a couple weeks before I start advertising and hitting up some of the local tech schools.

My company is getting too big for me to handle by myself and my subs that I have been using aren't as available as I need. If you know someone, have a brother or sister, nephew or niece or whatnot that is not on the college track and is trainable, reliable and eager to learn and work I am looking to hire. This is an entry level position but may entertain someone that already has some experience in this industry.

What I do: My company provides low voltage systems in commercial multi-family and multi-use new construction. We do CCTV, security, access control, building wide wifi and network infrastructure, lighting control, audio video, video walls and so on.. Work includes everything from pulling wire while the building is being framed which requires being up and down ladders all day sweating your ass off in the middle of summer when it's 100 degrees out or freezing your ass off in the middle of winter when it's 30 degrees out (must be somewhat physically fit) to running conduit, terminating cabling in racks, installing devices, configuring device settings, programming lighting systems and configuring networks. Hard hats, long pants and ppe required.

I've been doing this stuff for 29 years and am willing to pass on everything I know to a person that is willing and able to learn. I run a performance based company, your pay and career will depend on your ability to bring on new tasks and do them well, it's up to you how well you want to do. This is an industry that can lead you in many directions and you can expect regular raises as you become competent at various systems, making 6 figures down the road in this industry is not unheard of. Most of my work is in the Denver metro area but I do have a national resort developer client that sends me on projects out of town. Just finished up a resort clubhouse in the Florida Keys last week, a couple on the east coast of Florida and Georgia and a clubhouse in Palos Verdes in the last year and am starting a clubhouse final in Orange Beach AL in the next couple weeks.

Thinking $20-25 to start which would bump up once you can start running on your own a bit. This will be my first full time employee so I will be looking in to providing insurance and all the other benefits as well.

I'm not hanging $50 Ring cameras via craigslist. Anyone that drives I25 through Larkspur has seen the Jellystone RV Resort, I did all of the low voltage work in that development, a few hundred cameras, TVs and audio throughout the complex, projection screens and stage lighting, all of the IT infrastructure fiber and cabling.

A couple projects of about a dozen that are already on the books for 2024 to get an idea of what kind of projects I am working on..

Good luck, I work in the trades and we can't find anyone worth a dam even at 30$ an hour. I wish I was younger I would be all over that opportunity, sounds like your offering an amazing opportunity to someone.
