Thats awesom, I just recently started shooting trap again. I'm getting my kids in to it also. One thing that sucks is the cost has gone up ten fold.

The school I grew up going to has a shooting team. I think they've done pretty well at tournaments.

Seems my high school in Hawaii started an air rifle team a number of years ago and I was completely unaware of it (or their Facebook page) until the team did well at state and the school published the results on their main Facebook page.

I believe I was the one, lone person congratulating the team. The vitriol from the other alumni was astounding.

One of the two high schools I attended in Hawai`i started an air rifle teams some years ago. I found out about it when my nephew joined his freshman year. They were shooting at a makeshift range in the back of the school that I think used to be a storage area for the landscapers. I offered to try to connect with someone at the Hawaii Rifle Association to build them a proper range -- would have continued with that but the principal referred me to the coach and I couldn't get the coach to ever get in contact with me.

I'd rather they were shooting smallbore like I did in my second high school but air rifle is a lot easier to run and gets less pushback from the community. Ironically, my nephew could practice air rifle in his backyard in Honolulu, something I can't do in Colorado Springs.

I miss those Appleseed shoots with Big Bear! No better way to play hookie with the boy for a day.

My stepson and daughter-in-law live in Sundance, WY and they have a big trap/skeet shooting team at the local high school. I had thought it was just a Wyoming thing though.
