Wow. It's hard to belive thats real.

Well, the use of the color scale kind of takes it out of context. Even though the key is prominent and clearly shows that black is 10% unemployment, putting it on the map like that makes it look like 100% unemployment or something. I'd say the map is unintentionally misleading.

it is a little misleading, just have to read carefully though. pretty crazy how it moves like that.

It really picked up 1/2 way through 2008 and flew during 2009.

Really amazing to consider. We're still sitting in one of the best regions in the U.S. though.
