Depends what's on, when it's on. She'll key into something action wise. Or kick back when we have tunes on. One of them freaks out during thunderstorms, like have to peel her off the ceiling. Turn on some tunes and it's like that outside has ceased to exist.

Then again playing sabbath, or the who, at 11, might be the reason she no longer hears anything.

Well that's the reason I no longer can hear anything. As well as motorcycles, gun fire and military aircraft. But it started with Sabbath/Deep Purple/The Who/Ted Nugent etc.

No dogs anymore but our cats frequently watch TV, or cat videos on the computer. They like anything with prolonged movement of animals. We've taught them to come running when we call "see see". They know to look out the windows for wildlife whether it's a rabbit, deer, moose, coyote or fox. Two nights ago, Sushi was watching a coyote just outside the window, 8-10 ft away.

My rottie/doberman will sometimes take a few minutes to watch TV.

He also gets real pissed if he hears a door knock and doesn't understand that it's just our mindless entertainment on netflix

my german aussie shepherd watches TV constantly. She barks at certain things from time to time and knows the audio of one specific commercial that she hates and will bark at the commercial even if she is not in the same room... she just knows the dogs and cats are on TV when she hears it.

Our Shihtzu, Lilly (passed in May at 19) mostly ignored the TV, but when my wife had music on, would sing along with Gwen Stefani. No other songs, and actually in tune...
